The groom’s cake holds a prominent role in most Southern weddings. In some regions it is served at the rehearsal dinner. Here in Alabama, the groom’s cake is served at the wedding reception, right after the bride’s cake. It is displayed on its own table and generally reflects the hobbies or interests of the groom.
